The Wedge Table was developed from the idea of creating a three-dimensional table and stool construction using flat plywood parts. The three interlocking legs form a stable structure and define the characteristic appearance of the design. Every part follows a clear structural logic and the aesthetic principle of necessity. The splayed and tapered legs distribute forces efficiently and prevent tipping. All plywood components can be produced with standard machining processes. The top and base are joined by a three-armed steel connector that completes the structural system. The Wedge Table is available in various material and color options.
Dimensions:
H 455 x W 400 x D x 370
Recognition:
Winner Autoprogettazione 2.0, 2012, Milan Italy | Honorable mention, MA Prize 2012, Atlanta USA | Honorable mention, Interieur Design Award 2012, Kortrijk Belgium
